Due to excess air and the combustion season, many users pre-combust excess air when installing gas wall-hung boilers for decorative purposes. However, many consumers are confused when choosing a wall-hung boiler. The market offers wall-hung boilers based on European technology, as well as condensing boilers marketed by domestic manufacturers that claim to recover waste heat. So how should users choose between condensing boilers and conventional wall-hung boilers? The principle of a condensing boiler is essentially the same as that of a traditional wall-hung boiler: it features an exhaust outlet and a secondary heat-exchange unit. Yet its combustion method still relies on conventional gas combustion, which, because of incomplete combustion, often results in fuel wastage or excessive air supply that generates high levels of nitrogen oxides, leading to efficiency losses in some wall-hung boilers. Therefore, the key to achieving true condensation lies in using a semi-condensing boiler rather than a fully condensing one. In such semi-condensing models, the combustion chamber is made of stainless steel or silicon-containing materials, while the heat exchanger is constructed from highly corrosion-resistant stainless steel with excellent acid-corrosion resistance. As a result, the design service life typically exceeds 15 years; boilers that incorporate semi-condensing technology generally outlast fully condensing models by a considerable margin. The core issue in selecting an appropriate condensing wall-hung boiler is this: the wider the power-modulation range and the more precise the operating-temperature control, the better the overall suitability. A broader modulation range reduces frequent boiler start–stop cycles, enables low-temperature operation, and allows for constant-temperature regulation—benefits that align with human health considerations. Moreover, aluminum-based temperature-control mechanisms offer additional advantages in terms of precision and stability. When evaluating condensing wall-hung boilers, price is certainly important, but brand reputation matters even more. Consumers should prioritize products from reputable manufacturers, paying close attention to the quality of materials used—especially the use of stainless steel and other corrosion-resistant alloys—and ensuring that the boiler’s performance meets both technical specifications and long-term reliability standards.
