Gas-fired wall-hung boilers, originating in Europe, have a history spanning several centuries. Today, these European products boast a long heritage, mature technology, and superior quality, making them highly favored in the market. The full name of such a boiler is “gas-fired wall-hung boiler.” Compared with gas instantaneous water heaters, it is a rapid-heating device without a hot-water storage tank; however, their structural designs differ fundamentally. Gas-fired wall-hung boilers offer robust centralized heating for homes, capable of meeting the heating needs of multiple rooms, while also providing hot-water bathing functionality. The heating performance of these boilers is influenced by local climatic conditions and the thermal insulation of buildings. They are equipped with comprehensive safety features, including freeze protection, dry-boil protection, accidental flame-out protection, over-temperature protection, and pump anti-lock protection. They can also be connected to room-temperature controllers to enable personalized temperature regulation and energy savings. Statistics show that using a room thermostat can reduce gas costs by 20% to 28%. What factors affect the gas consumption of wall-hung boilers? First, local climate conditions: the average winter temperature in a given area plays a crucial role in selecting the appropriate boiler. Although indoor temperatures are typically maintained at a fixed level during winter, lower average winter temperatures allow for higher heating output from wall-hung boilers, whereas higher average temperatures permit reduced heating power. Second, building insulation: many large cities in northern China have adopted three-step energy-saving measures, enabling indoor temperatures to reach the standard range of 13°C to 15°C even without active heating systems. In contrast, new residential buildings in smaller cities and rural areas often follow traditional construction practices. These two types of buildings have vastly different requirements for the heating capacity of wall-hung boilers—lower for the former and higher for the latter. Wall-hung boilers differ from other gas appliances in that they are installed in specific locations and consume substantial amounts of gas, making them products with stringent safety requirements. Consequently, all wall-hung boilers must pass rigorous safety and environmental standards before being placed on the market. As product technology advances, testing standards are continually updated, and each type of gas-fired wall-hung boiler has its own specific, precise safety inspection criteria.
